The San Francisco SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) receives numerous donations from individuals and corporations alike, for their outstanding efforts and success each year in offering care and treatment for cats or dogs in special need.

The Roberts family, is one such donor, which with their significant donation honoring Leanne B. Roberts dedication and involvement with the SPCA for numerous years, helped create the nations' top state-of-the-art facility, SF/SPCA Leanne B. Roberts Animal Care Center in San Francisco, California.

The facility which opened in early 2009, features a 55’W x 25’H wind sculpture design in its entry courtyard, with over 40,000 red heart pet tags reflecting the SPCA identity and the numerous animals it has treated over the past 140 years. The newly renovated building also includes new exterior identification signage, as well as, interior identification and way-finding signage.

A series of donor recognition signs were also created as part of the overall program, which generously thanks all who have helped fund their cause. Each room ID sign is unique by featuring a photograph of one of their previous patients.
